Vitamix. The Ultimate Kitchen Tool, No Home Should Be Without.

Use the right tool for the right job and you will find yourself doing a lot less work, this is a simple but true fact. Having the proper tools on hand when the time calls for them makes life that much more fulfilling in a sense. You had the thought before hand that in life you may need something, so you went out and bought it and sure enough it was called upon to join you in battle one day.
For instance, your having a party and you run out of food or drinks and need a quick way to whip something up, but don’t want to dirty up the house or go overboard at the moment, so what do you do?
Well if you had a Vitamix blender, you would easily be able to CREATE something from scratch with a few flicks of a switch, turns of a dial and of course some carefully selected ingredients.
Not too often in the kitchen can entire meals be made with one machine from start to finish, but such is not the case in regards to the powerhouse of a machine labeled the Vitamix Professional Series 300. (click Read More, for the entire review)

A foolproof Culinary Instrument found in countless kitchens around the Globe, Vitamix products are of sheer genius design and superior quality. The Supreme Plate is a firm believer in the ancient proverb “You get what you pay for.” Sometimes people make decisions about buying household appliances based on looks, the overall cost of machine or what is popular at the moment. Let us break it down like this, after owning a Cadillac its next to impossible for most people to purchase a Kia (and that in no way is meant as an insult to the owners of Kia vehicles,) it’s just not a Cadillac.
Vitamix blenders are the Cadillac of blenders, bottom line. If you don’t believe us, next time you go to a restaurant of quality ask your waiter what kind of blenders they use, most likely you will be told a Vitamix.

We will say this, although a Vitamix blender is going cost you more than your average Oyster or Cuisinart model will, you more than likely will never have to replace a Vitamix blender once you have decided to step up to the big leagues. Stylish & subtle at the same time, this machine is built to perform. Where else will you find a stainless steel blade that can efficiently operate at 240mph while turning cold veggies into a bowl of steaming hot soup? The VitamixProfessional Series 300, also comes with an incredible cookbook that gives you step by step directions on how to use their blender to make some really interesting and delicious dishes with ease. With a storage space built into the bottom of the machine to wrap the cord up safely, there will be no more lugging around a 2 foot cord or having wires exposed all over the place, should you decide to show off this beauty on your countertop. Also included is an incredibly handy pestle that not makes fast work of any ingredient you may be trying to crush down, but it also cleans up quick & easy so that no extra labor needs to go into preparing your meal.

Let us not forget that Vitamix is an American owned and operated brand (corporate headquarters are located in Olmstead Township, Ohio) and has been since theirinception in 1921. A company with a history of helping others whether it be to find work or heat healthy, Vitamix is a brand that should be applauded for their efforts towards keeping America moving forward.

The abilities a Vitamix blender contains, inspired us to start a new feature on The Supreme Plate, where an entire meal (for the most part) will be made using only one cooking vessel, all by itself. Whether it be a healthy Smoothie, a delicious accompanying sauce, a thick & hearty Soup or even Pizza Dough, we are going to show you how easy it is to create something healthy and homemade for your friends & family.

Much like most of the Nation we have been suffering from a bit of a heat wave in Southern California, so we figured why not whip up some smoothies to beat the heat and give the office a bit of healthy sustenance. We know that there are so many people who have little or no time to spare, so we wanted to show just how useful this machine can be when life just wont allow you to slow down.

Right out the gate we grabbed some Peaches, Pineapples, Mangos, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Ice and a bit of Honey and got to work.
The resulting Smoothie was perfectly blended, not to slushy or chunky, not too thick that it couldn’t be consumed through a straw and with a few squeezes of honey or was perfectly sweetened. The Vitamix blender with a few pulses made short work of the fresh ingredients and cleaned up quickly all in less than 10 minutes, how can you beat that?

1 cup crushed Pineapple (juice included)

Place all the ingredients (minus the cinnamon) into the Vitamix blender, secure the lid and place a hand over the top.
Turn the blender to variable 1 and turn the machine on.
Slowly increase the variable to 8, then 10 then high.

If the motor sounds as if it stopping or getting caught up by the ice, reduce the speed and let the cubes get broken down or add a bit more Club Soda to smooth out the mixture.

Blend on high for about 45 seconds and pour into chilled Rocks Glasses.
Garnish w/ grated Cinnamon and place the remaining Cinnamon stick in the glass.
If the drink is still too tart for your liking, add a bit more Honey or your favorite sweetener
