Slow Cooked Carnitas Tacos

There are few things in this World that can beat coming home to a delicious Home-Cooked meal (especially one that wasn’t hard to make or clean up after.) Having the sense to pre plan out a few meals during the week will enable you to spend some time doing something else that either needs to be done in your life or around your home.

These slow cooked Carnitas Tacos are always a hit, simply because they cook themselves over 5 or 6 hours in a Crock pot or Dutch oven. Putting them up before you head out for work is a great idea, just make sure that your not going to be gone too long (if over 6 hours, try lowering the heat a tad bit to avoid burning the tender meat to a crisp.)

The Carnitas can be used to fill up tacos, burritos on a tostada, on nachos or even rolled up and fried into flautas, the possibilities are endless.
Enjoy!!!

Recipe Of The Day: Deep Fried Artichokes

Everyone loves artichokes, you just may not know it yet. Having the right person prepare an artichoke for your first time eating them is very crucial. they can easily be made to taste like an aloe vera plant and that ain't that cool. If this is your time eating them have no fear for they are fried, and what doesn't taste good fried?
Consider them the perfect appetizer to enjoy while having freezing cold libations such as: Beer, Vodka and Tonics, Gin and Tonics, Rum & Cokes, Patron shots... Ok you get the picture.
Please enjoy these and your drinks in moderation.

Recipe Of The Day: Baja Fish Tacos

Today is National Taco Day and you know you can never go wrong with some juicy delicious Tacos filled with whatever your heart desires.
Our Southern California roots come alive when we bite into these crunchy, yet still juicy Fish Tacos.
When putting these together just make sure your oil is good and hot or else you will be left with the soggiest of fish, and remember our theory from day one people: Nothing Good Comes From Soggy Food!
The smoked paprika and cayenne are kicked off from the juice of the lime and the salt combination so please be prepared to devour more of these than you had originally planned to eat (meaning make extra.)
The prefect side dish for these is our classic Red Beans and Rice.
Please enjoy these with a great strong mixed drink, there is no other way to eat a plate of Baja Tacos than with a cold beer or strong mixed libation.

Another Recipe In Honor Of National Egg Day: Egg Salad Sandwich w/ Avocado & Spinach

Heres another recipe in honor of the incredible edible egg. This sandwich is actually inspired by a close close friend of ours, who could not stand mayo in anything they ate. By seasoning it up a little bit and not overloading the sandwich with it, we made it quite delightful, as they agreed upon devouring a few recently.

Recipe Of The Day: Teriyaki Chicken Thighs

We got a request via twitter for a Teriyaki Chicken recipe that was quick, easy and cheap. This one right here is great for families on the go or for those of you who don't have too much time to spend cooking a great tasting dish. The tang and spice from the pepper, paprika, sesame oil and brown sugar are great and go perfectly with brown rice and steamed vegetables to keep the dish light and healthy.
Thanks for the request, this was a hit this weekend during our Memorial Day BBQ madness in the kitchen and on the grill.
Good Luck and Enjoy!

Recipe Of The Day: Steak Fajitas

This recipe is one of our classics, that was created to feed a hungry mass of people who hit our house late night after being out all night. Although it is done best when the meat is left to marinate for 10 hours, this can be thrown together in a hurry and pulled off perfectly every time when paid attention to.
There is nothing like walking into the house and being hit by the amazing aroma that Steak Fajitas brings. It is truly a blessing to live in a country where there is never a shortage of quality beef.
This recipe can also use lamb, or pork shoulder but nothing beats Steak.

But if your unaware of the amazing food that comes from each and every single one of these spots, let us introduce you to a slow cooked favorite of ours that melts in your mouth with each bite.  This is to be enjoyed with cold beer, rum & Coke, mint mojitos & Tequila shots.

Recipe Of The Day: Baked Macaroni & Cheese

We are posting this up a little late due to the extensive and oftentimes painfully grueling taste testings we have been performing with all the vicious hot sauces pouring in.
One of our good friends from way before day one of the site hit us up and asked how we perform that lovely dish we call Baked Macaroni & Cheese. Baked Macaroni & Cheese is really simple and as long as you don't overcook any of these precious ingredients you will be in for a great treat that sticks to the ribs and goes great alongside just about EVERYTHING.
Enjoy this recipe and remember that the leftovers go great the next day, when turned into fried mac & cheese. But now were just giving up too much info...
