Recipe Of The Day: Huevos Rancheros

Simple things in life make the world go around. The music we love, the food we eat, the relationships we have; the easier they are to maintain, the longer they last. If you have ever made a simple meal for someone that tastes delicious and watched as their eyes lit up and they complimented you over and over on how good it was, you know the feeling of making something from your heart that truly was simple that fulfilled a need in someone’s life.

Huevos Ranchos is a meal that is as simple as can be because its complex flavors and textures compliment each other better than any friend could do you, who is looking to borrow a few dollars.
Fellas, if your looking for a surefire way to impress a lady friend the morning after they have spent the night, whip this treat up and watch as they become enamored by your incredibly dashing whit and Chef like skills in the kitchen.
Enjoy!!

Recipe of the Day: Sausage & Pepper Skewers w/ Couscous

Today being National Something on a Stick Day, we figured we would avoid things of the corndog nature and make some classic Sausage & Pepper Skewers with a delicious Pesto Sauce to dip them in. This recipe pulls together in less than 20 mins and once your grill is hot, your almost home free. Using Sausages such as a spicy chicken or garlic flavored Turkey sausage or great for this recipe and greatly reduce the amount of fat you will be taking in.
These go great in the Summer / Springtime at a backyard BBQ because once they are cooked, they can be held with one hand allowing the other hand to hold that Ice Cold Libation of the day.
Enjoy!!!

Gazpacho

If you aren’t up on Gazpacho, use the internet for something positive for once to take a moment and read up on it’s incredibly vigorous qualities. A “Raw” dish that requires hardly any work (your blender will do most of the work for you) that helps to stimulate everyone’s desire to tear into a few more courses.

Growing up in Southern California, I was put onto Gazpacho in the Summertime, by an old friends Grandma who used to make hers by hand, chill it overnight and in the morning serve it to all the kids before we would go tear the neighborhood up for the day.
This version is similar to hers only we use a dash of red wine vinegar to balance out the taste of the raw tomatoes.

December 6th is National Gazpacho Day, make some of this the night before, and when you get home from work on the 6th, check the seasoning (you may want to add some salt and pepper after it sits overnight,) pour up a few cold shots of your favorite libation before dinner and have yourself a healthy glass / bowl of Gazpacho.

Enjoy!

Recipe Of The Day: Steak Fajitas

This recipe is one of our classics, that was created to feed a hungry mass of people who hit our house late night after being out all night. Although it is done best when the meat is left to marinate for 10 hours, this can be thrown together in a hurry and pulled off perfectly every time when paid attention to.
There is nothing like walking into the house and being hit by the amazing aroma that Steak Fajitas brings. It is truly a blessing to live in a country where there is never a shortage of quality beef.
This recipe can also use lamb, or pork shoulder but nothing beats Steak.
