Recipe Of The Day: Huevos Rancheros

Simple things in life make the world go around. The music we love, the food we eat, the relationships we have; the easier they are to maintain, the longer they last. If you have ever made a simple meal for someone that tastes delicious and watched as their eyes lit up and they complimented you over and over on how good it was, you know the feeling of making something from your heart that truly was simple that fulfilled a need in someone’s life.

Huevos Ranchos is a meal that is as simple as can be because its complex flavors and textures compliment each other better than any friend could do you, who is looking to borrow a few dollars.
Fellas, if your looking for a surefire way to impress a lady friend the morning after they have spent the night, whip this treat up and watch as they become enamored by your incredibly dashing whit and Chef like skills in the kitchen.
Enjoy!!

Recipe Of The Day: Spinach, Orzo & Shrimp Salad

The beast that is Summertime is quickly approaching. Never mind that Spring just landed, we know once the rain stops the beaches, hiking trails and outdoors will be calling upon us all to get out and enjoy a little time in the Sun.

With that being said, let’s get something straight, no longer can we sit inside, snacking on our cold weather / holiday treats, the time is now to whip up some healthy snacks and get to burning off those unwanted, but always around lbs. Today being National Spinach Day, we figured lets break things down to the simplest form and start the week of with a great Salad recipe that’s topped off with some delicious (and healthy) Shrimp.

This salad takes no time at all so keep this recipe in your arsenal for when it is entirely too hot outside to eat a steak and fried shrimp.
This cool Summertime Spinach-Orzo & Shrimp Salad is a delightful way to break the monotony and add some beneficial fuel to your tank.

Enjoy!!!

Recipe Of The Day: Grilled Halibut & Red Pepper Harissa

Everyone already knows how lovely the Southern California weather is this time of year, it sure doesn't take long for phones and emails to start ringing about putting together a BBQ or a poolside function.

We decided since this weekend the weather is supposed to be picture perfect, we'd take you outside for once and put to use that monster BBQ you have taking up space in your backyard.
For those of you with no BBQ on site at the house have no fear, this recipe will work great in the house with a quality made grille pan for your stovetop.

The Recipe Of The Day takes us back to the ocean and on over to North Africa for our side dish. Grilled Halibut (or Red Snapper for those that can't find some quality halibut readily available) with Red Pepper Harissa is a healthy dish that fills you up, but does not weigh you down to the point of needing a nap after eating it.

Harissa is a common dish in North Africa consisting of Piri Piri Chili Peppers, Paprika & Tomatoes and is basically served as an appetizer at almost every meal eaten. This version here is lightly spiced and will just melt in your mouth with the natural flavors of the grilled fish and olive oil.

This is the perfect meal to have some with some Peach Mojitos, Cuba Libres,  Pineapple & Appleton Rum Mixers or the traditional Vodka and Cranberry.

Enjoy!
