Light & Easy, Lobster Po' Boy Sandwich

The taste of fresh seafood awakens my senses, almost to the point that I can never really get enough of it. Of course I won’t sit here and say I am the biggest seafood eating monster on the planet, because there are still a few things that I just wont or cant bring myself to consume (at least not without a bunch of strong drinks.) But Lobster, the lovable little non huggable creatures they are, well to me they can do no wrong. From serving them broiled with lemon and drawn butter to frying them up for a po’ boy sandwich it can be said, these babies are versatile.
Enough with the talking though and let us get down to the nitty gritty. Today we are showing you how to make a delicious Lobster Po’ Boy w/o frying it, so you don’t have to feel guilty or clean up an extra mess.
Get to cooking those lobsters so you can enjoy these sandwiches ASAP.

Recipe Of The Day: Antipasto Salad Sandwiches

Stepping into a new restaurant for the first time for many people can be overwhelming. Every now and then new terms are used in place of what an item traditionally called thus completely turning off the patron without even knowing what the dish is.
With a recent trip to a neighborhood Italian Restaurant behind us, a conversation came up about the term Antipasto and what should it include. Traditionally Antipasto (Plural Antipasti) means “before the meal” in Italian, and is often the first formal course in an Italian meal.
It should include various cured meats, olives, pepperoncini, mushrooms, roasted garlic, anchovies, artichoke hearts, various cheeses and peperone (marinated small green bell peppers, which should not be confused with pepperoni.)
Typically topped off with olive oil, this dish can take the place of any salad in a heartbeat. Although Antipasto is often compared to hors d’oeuvre’s, it should be noted that they are not the same, as Antipasto is served at the table and signifies the official beginning of a meal, whereas hors d’oeuvre’s are served as a snack before a meal begins.

We put together a recipe for an Antipasto sandwich that is truly amazing and will help introduce you to this staple in the Italian culture. Of course substitutions can be made to your liking, we are simply showing you a traditional version that we have taken a liking too.

Recipe Of The Day: Spicy Lobster Cobb Salad Rolls

Seafood and salad, what a great combination. There is nothing like having a fresh salad with the right dressing topped off with either some delicious Tiger Shrimp, blackened Salmon or grilled Lobster, we are going to use Lobster today because we feel like it works great with the vinaigrette.
The citrus and Balsamic Vinegar in the vinaigrette mixed with the crisp lettuce and juicy lobster meat is like an explosion of flavor in each bite. True Lobster can be a bit expensive but if you catch your local store at just the right time you can either get some amazing fresh Lobster tails at a phenomenal price or as a substitute some great priced King Crab Legs & Claws.
This salad is great for any day of the week because it truly doesn't take much time to make and is rather inexpensive depending on what form of seafood you choose to run with and is really healthy for you.
If your going to try for the lower carb style of meal, forget the roll all together and double your salad serving.
Enjoy!
