In Honor Of National Peaches & Cream Day: Drunken Peaches & Cream


Leave it to us to discover that June 21st is National Peaches and Cream Day. But we aren't talking about the song from 112 no, not hardly. Today is a holiday in honor of Georgia's beloved Peach and the best sidekick it has ever known, fresh whipped Cream.
But what would it be if we didn't add a bit of sprucing up in the form a few ounces of delicious Bourbon?
This recipe is great dessert that is light and fluffy and wont leave you needing a nap when you are finished.
Drunken Peaches & Cream

Ingredients:
3 Peaches – Sliced
5 TBS Brown Sugar (Divided)
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Heavy Cream
4 tsp Bourbon
1 Cup Toasted Pecans (For Garnish)

Toss peaches with 1 TBS brown sugar and vanilla extract and set aside until juicy (About 30 mins)
Whip heavy cream until it thickens lightly
Add remaining 4 TBS brown sugar and bourbon and beat until soft peaks form.
Layer peaches and cream in dessert glasses.
Top with toasted pecans.
