This summer, the pools at MGM Resorts International properties are offering thirst-quenching libations that are anything but ordinary. Edible alcohol-infused fruit cocktails, exotic mojitos, twisted lemonades and low-calorie concoctions deliver tasty ways to combat the desert heat. Everyone deserves an escape from the mundane routines that we all get stuck in, whether it be handling business to get the bills paid or the taxing responsibilities that come with being a parent or caring for a loved one. 

What better way to take your mind off all of the stresses being thrown your way than to relax poolside in Las Vegas sipping on some of the finest cocktails to ever be poured on the face of this planet? Read along to see who is pouring what and where you need to be as the Summer heat begins to become unbearable.

Exquisite Edibles

Edible libations break the boundaries to quench thirst and calm hunger during the hottest summer days. 

Available at Bellagio’s Cypress pool, the Doriae is equal parts cocktail and snack. Fresh watermelon slices vacuum-sealed with Tanteo jalapeño tequila, raspberry syrup and lime juice are presented with a martini glass full of the sweet and spicy mixture. Guests may dip their fruit in the cocktail for an extra burst of flavor or sip the libation as an accompaniment to the infused watermelon slices.

Snow cones are all grown up at Bellagio’s pool with offerings like Simple Cherry, which is crafted with Skyy cherry vodka, cherry syrup and house-made salted caramel sauce. Guests can grab a spoon and escape the heat with this intoxicating blend.

Fun and Fruity

Exotic fruits combine with fresh ingredients for flavorful summertime delights.

The Pear Tree at the Monte Carlo pool complements Grey Goose La Poire with pear nectar, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur and club soda to create a cocktail that is perfectly sweet and refreshing.

The Sicilian Summer at the pool at ARIA delivers a fresh-picked citrus flavor with Ketel One Oranje vodka, Solerno blood orange liqueur, Monin blood orange syrup, lemon sour and simple syrup for a cocktail straight from the orchard.

New York-New York’s Pineapple Passion Punch blends Bacardi pineapple fusion rum, Malibu rum, Sierra Mist and a splash of grenadine for a poolside cocktail with tropical flair. 

For a libation with true star power, Clooney’s Cocktail at the pool at MGM Grand combines the actor’s Casamigos Blanco tequila with Cointreau liqueur, Midori melon liqueur, fresh sour mix, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine.

The newly opened DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay offers a variety of delicious cocktails including the Champagne Sangria made with a blend of fine spirits, fresh fruit, orange juice and champagne, garnished with diced apples, grapes, oranges and pineapples.  

Mojitos

This refreshing summer classic gets an innovative twist with a variety of fruit and herbs that deliver complex and delicious flavor profiles. 

The Berry Basil Mojito at ARIA’s pool features Bacardi Dragon Berry rum, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, club soda, muddled basil leaves, fresh blueberries and raspberries for a fragrant and savory palate pleaser.

The Wolf-Berry Mojito, available at the pools at Luxor and Excalibur, features Bacardi Wolf Berry rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, club soda, fresh blueberries and strawberries for a sweet cocktail with a tasty bite.

DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay’s signature Watermelon Mojitospotlights Bacardi Grand Melon rum, watermelon juice, lime juice, simple syrup and club soda for an inventive take on the classic summertime snack.   

Fresh from the Lemonade Stand

These adult-friendly lemonade cocktails evoke fond memories of lazy summer days spent basking in the sun. 

Cherry Goose Lemonade at Monte Carlo pool combines the deep black cherry flavors of Grey Goose Cherry Noir vodka, with the sweetness of house-made lemonade and grenadine.

The Drunken Palmer, available poolside at New York-New York, transforms the classic beverage with Seagram’s Sweet Tea vodka and lemonade; it’s a hole-in-one. 

Guests will be Tickled Pink with this eponymous cocktail at MGM Grand, which features Skyy Citrus vodka, pink lemonade and cranberry juice. 

Skinnies

Staying slim during pool season is easier than ever with low-calorie cocktails that weigh-in at less than 150 calories each.

The Skinny Lemonade at the pools at Luxor and Excalibur combines Absolut Citron vodka, TY-KU citrus liqueur and lemonade with a garnish of fresh lime and a mint sprig for the tart goodness of a fresh lemonade cocktail without the calories. 

The Skinny Senorita at The Mirage pool is a tequila-based skinny selection that combines Patron Silver tequila, fresh grapefruit and lime juices, agave nectar and club soda. 

The Berry De-light at The Mirage pool features Little Black Dress Blueberry or Pomegranate vodka, lemon juice, fresh blueberries, mint leaves, a splash of club soda and Monin sugar-free pure cane syrup.
