National Sugar Cookie Day, Quick & Easy Recipe

Today is National Sugar Cookie Day. So we figured why not put up one of the easiest homemade Sugar Cookie recipes we have in the stash and let the people enjoy some fresh cookies made from scratch?
These are light and fluffy and when baked just right, have that perfect sweet to saltiness ratio that just screams to be dunked in milk.
Ingredients:
2 Sticks of Butter
½ Cup Granulated Sugar
¾ Cup Confectioners Sugar
2 Egg Yolks
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Orange Zest
2 ¼ Cups Flour
½ tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Kosher Salt

Directions:
Beat 2 sticks butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar until fluffy.
Beat in 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp orange zest.
Whisk 2 1/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt; stir into the butter mixture, then chill 30 minutes.
Roll into TBS sized balls and flatten.
Place cookies on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil, lightly greased with cooking spray
Sprinkle with coarse sugar and bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Remember that the heat from the cookie sheet will continue to bake the cookies after coming out of the oven. So don't overcook them in the oven.
Let the cookies rest one minute on the sheet and remove them to a plate to finish cooling.
