Recipe Of The Day: Red Chili Onion Rings

When something is quick and easy to make, so spicy that you can't stop eating for fear of being devoured by its own heat and out of the ordinary its a no brainer that we are going to like it over at The Supreme Plate. Everyone and their Mama seems to love a good Onion Ring. These right here pack a powerful amount of heat and are bursting with flavors. The key to getting em just right is to have your oil perfectly hot but not to the point of smoking so that they catch a quick crispy coating before burning.

Ingredients:
2 large Onions, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices, separated into rings
3 cups Whole Milk
1 cup  All Purpose Flour
2 TBS Red Chili Powder
2 TBS Ground cumin
2 TBS Smoked Paprika
2 TBS Cayenne Pepper
1 TBS Kosher Salt

Directions:
Place onions in bowl.
Pour milk over; let stand 30 minutes, tossing occasionally.
Whisk flour, Red Chili Powder, Cumin, Paprika, Cayenne & Salt in large bowl.
Pour enough oil into large pot to reach depth of 3 inches. Heat to 350°F.
Working with a few onion rings at a time, shake off excess milk.
Dip into flour mixture, coating lightly.
Add onion rings to pot; deep-fry until golden, about 45 seconds.
Drain on paper towels and serve.
