Fortune Cookie "Ross Alley" Collection
Ross Alley is the oldest Alley in San Francisco, located in the heart of Chinatown. San Francisco’s Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in North America, as well as the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. Chinatown is an enclave that continues to retain its own customs, languages and places of worship.
Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company is located on Ross Alley, and was opened in 1962. They are notorious for their traditional flavored and chocolate covered fortune cookies. Visitors can observe workers using circular griddles to make fortune cookies, creating a sweet aroma throughout the alley.
They wanted to pay tribute to this street for the influence it has on the brand. Ross Alley is a special place not only for the Asian community but more importantly to maintain magic behind the Fortune Cookie.
