Try living life without having access to a lighter when you really need it. Yeah you may not smoke, but trust us when we say fire is a good thing to have close at hand. And people always ask why I keep an Orange lighter, well two reasons come to mind actually, I like the color orange for one and two well I guess I just like fire as well.

Recipe Of The Day: Tilapia w/ Hash Browns
With the year rapidly coming to a close, it is great to see that after eating more than our fair share of unhealthy foods a lot of people are getting right back to their healthy eating routines.
We got a few requests for some light and healthy meals that don’t take long to prepare and even more importantly that could stretch a few bucks during this horrible economy.
Like Nas said “It ain’t hard to tell” that we love fish in these parts, fried, baked, fresh out of the water, however you hook it up, seafood is simply amazing and needs to be included in your weekly regimen to break up the monotony. Eating too much of anything we know can be a bad thing simply because although your body may be taking in copious amounts of certain sources of nutrients, it is being deprived of others that are greatly needed to support a healthy and active lifestyle.
This dish is easy to put together, tastes amazingly great and really healthy (the 3 things we like to look for during weekday cooking.)
Enjoy the end of the year Ladies and Gentlemen we surely are going too.

Panda Cupcakes
Just a fly idea next time you decided to try your hand at making some cupcakes. Oftentimes people get so caught up in the flavors inside that they forget about making the cupcake actually look inviting. A simple chocolate cupcake becomes something that kids (and adults alike) will want to demolish and play with as they eat it.
Keep things creative people, in every aspect of your life, you will regret the day you become routine and played out.

Soulful Sunday - Ohio Players "Players Balling (Players Doin' Their Own Thing)
Too many songs got their whole style from this right here. You name it and one of the great producers of Hip Hop have sampled from this track. A true delight, in the kitchen, in the car, in the bedroom hell just about anywhere you could imagine being, this song deserves to be there and be played loud.
Enjoy.
Recipe Of The Day: Creamy Potato & Leek Soup
Sometimes you have to think outside the box, OK so for the most part you should think outside the box. That is how you avoid getting caught up looking like a lame duck when everyone is wearing skin tight pants and sockless loafers, while you still faithfully rock Nikes and classic Levi 501s.
Once again, don't get us started on what kind of fashion anyone should be wearing, as we never have considered ourselves to be fashionistas, more like foodistas, with a fetish for fly footwear, perhaps. Anyways the point of this hear was to say that thinking outside the box is where a lot of killer ideas come from and the ability to experience and enjoy something you may have never considered trying.
For instance, todays Recipe Of The Day: Creamy Potato & Leek Soup, not something you would've heard me mention first on the menu but after having it, attempting to create it and then somewhat mastering it, I feel like you too can come to enjoy this masterpiece.
Hey I had to coached into getting a feeling for eating it, but once I did, I was grateful to the person who put me on to it.
Enjoy!
Soulful Sunday - Ohio Players "Pain"
Classic Sample. Great to get in the kitchen and bust out the old recipe book, flip to any random page and try your hand at something you haven't had in quite a long time. Thats usually how we start to recreating and revamping some of our best recipes. Like today's Recipe Of The Day: Potato & Leek Soup.
Check that out if you want to have your mind blown wide open by some flavors most of us would never expect to put together in such a manner.
Enjoy this song, the recipe and cold weather, since it hardly happens like this in Southern California.
