Recipe Of The Day: Sauteed Shrimp w/ Cayenne Yogurt Dipping Sauce


It is nearing the end of Summer, but it is still hotter than ever imagine and cooking a dish that requires a lot of time in a hot kitchen is just not the move. Well here is another dish you can add to your list of quick cooking and impressively flavored dishes that without a doubt is a success every time, Sauteed Shrimp with Cayenne Yogurt Dipping Sauce.
Quick, delicious and easy this dish is something that brings to life the fresh flavors of the ocean, spices them up and delivers them right to your plate in a mere few minutes.


Ingredients:
2 TBS olive oil
1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled, tail left on, deveined
1 TBS herbes de Provence
Kosher Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 ¼ cups plain yogurt
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
1/2  tsp smoked paprika (divided)
2 TBS mayonnaise
2 TBS whole-grain mustard (recommended: Maille)
1 ½ TBS maple syrup
1 tsp turmeric
¼ cup freshly chopped basil leaves

Directions:
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp and herbes de Provence, 1/4 tsp cayenne and paprika.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 2 minutes each side.

In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, mayonnaise, mustard, maple syrup, turmeric, 1/4 tsp cayenne and basil until smooth.
Season, to taste, with Kosher salt and pepper.
Place the yogurt mixture in a dipping bowl.
